A New Jersey mother and daughter have won a battle with their local government over profane anti-Biden signs she has been displaying at her home.
A municipal court had slapped a $250 daily fine on Roselle Park residents Andrea Dick and her mother for the signs, which uses swear words against Biden, as the signs violate a borough ordinance.
However, a Superior Court judge threw out the case today, clearing the women to continue displaying their signs.
Borough officials said they will not appeal the decision.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) on Monday said they would be representing Andrea Dick and her mother, saying the fines slapped on the pair are in violation of their First Amendment rights.
The two women are Trump supporters who are dismayed at President Biden’s actions since becoming chief executive. They said they are thrilled with the judge’s decision to throw out the case and may pursue a lawsuit against Roselle Park for putting them through this ordeal.
You can protest however you want but imagine being the neighbor across the street or the children walking around the neighborhood that have to see these vulgar signs on a daily basis. I would have no problem with my neighbors flying a flag supporting whoever they want. If those flags had the language that these did then there would be a serious problem between us.

I Don’t think that it’s protected under the first amendment. And even if it is there’s no reason anyone should take part in lowering society standards. Yes, I understand that they aren’t very high either way,but still no one should sink to the lowest standards of the people that are in the wrong. Protest all you want but like a mensch

The only speech not protected under the First Ammendment is that which breaks the law; ie you cant tell someone your going to kill them and put that person in immediate fear of harm (terror threats). “Vulgar” or “crude” and even “hateful” language is still protected under the constitution. You imagine if the media in North Korea talked to Kim lije they talked to President Trump…heads would roll! God bless or Constititional Republic!
Free speech is protected, but when you exercise that right without any consideration to your neighbors then you are just a loudmouth whiner. For those who are yelling socialism I wonder if you can please provide evidence that you sent your socialist covid checks issued by both trump and Biden back to the federal government.
