New Family Boats Come to Lake Carasaljo

PHOTOS: Yesterday evening, the last of five new family boats were lowered into Lake Carasaljo. In addition to the paddle option, the large family boat is motorized.

The boat rental fleet, run by Traveling Tykes, features ten large motorized-paddle boats, 6 swans and about 40 standard paddle boats.

rolled out their boats for the first time this season.

The boat rentals are available Sunday-Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until dark, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until about 1 1/2 hours before Shabbos.

Access to the boat rentals are from North Lake Drive and 2nd Street, at the Amphitheatre.

It is so nice to see the lake filled with these boats and families having fun on a nice day.

what #6 is TRYING to say is that- if the boat owners are orthodox Jews, then they don’t work on Saturday (shabbos) Thus the boats are not available for rent then.

Sorry to tell you all but the State REQUIRES all power boat operators to have a state sanctioned safety course certificate. Whoever operates the boats better have the certificate or you get a ticket.

What kind of power is the boat using? Gas engines pollute the lake and were not allowed? Just asking.

Actually they are paddle boats which are powerd by our feet. GO GREEN
