The boy who nearly drowned last week in Lakewood and saved by lifeguards and Hatzolah, has been discharged from the hospital, TLS has learned.
The approximately 14-year-old teen was swimming when lifeguards noticed him under water longer than usual, and immediate jumped in and pulled him out. The teen had reportedly suffered a medical episode causing him to go under, sources told TLS.
Lifeguards performed CPR on the teen until Hatzolah and EMSĀ arrived and transported him to the hospital.
The teen fully recovered at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and returned home today.

As a personal friend of the lifeguard that saved this boys life, your facts are incorrect. End of story incorrect
B’H! Who was the lifeguard that pulled him out?
Old Lakewood; Please correct the story for us. Inquiring minds want to know! Thank you.
B”H the kid is coming home. For a while he was not doing that well.
So what IS the story??
The ‘story’ doesn’t matter. ‘Inquiring minds’ is a nice way of saying the yentas in town. What matters is that he is B”H home, and went to school today like all other children. Instead of being so inquiring, go say a perek of Tehillim to thank HK”BH!
Who cares what happened?!?!? The boy is OK and that’s what counts, stop hocking and get a job!
As someone who was at the pool while this was happening, and in touch with the family – the story the way TLS reported it is 100% true!
