Municipal Offices Closed Thursday; Trash Pickup Schedule

November 22nd is Thanksgiving, and Federal, State and Municipal offices will be closed. Post offices will be closed and there will be no regular mail delivery. There will be no trash pickup on Thursday. Thursday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on tomorrow, Wednesday. There will be no bulk collection this week.

Financial markets will be closed. Public school in Lakewood will be closed Thursday and Frideay. Banks have the option to remain open.

NJ Transit trains will run on a holiday schedule, and PATH trains will operate on a Saturday schedule.

  1. Don’t know where you got the idea public schools have the option of closing it is a state holiday so therefore the school close in observent of the holiday.

  2. Thanksgiving is a holiday for everyone in America , Think all stores and banks should be closed ! Its a time to spend with your family and be thankful for this what this great nation has provided for those who live here
