Multiple Homes Struck By Lightning, No Injuries Reported

lightningThe Lakewood Fire Department responded to several homes this evening which were reportedly struck by lighting during a thunderstorm which lasted about an hour. At least two homes on Debrah Way were struck, officials say, and another home on Shonny Court. The residents were home at the time and smoke was initially reported to be coming from at least one of the homes.

Some appliances and circuits were burnt in the homes, but there were no injuries reported.

The 911 Emergency Line was reportedly down for some time as well, due to the storm.

Traffic lights were also reported to be out. TLS-CCP/TLS-00/TLS-6466/TLS-MK
