Monday: President’s Day: Municipal, State Offices Closed; No Trash Pickup

flag tlsToday, February 16, is President’s Day. Municipal offices as well as State offices will be closed in observance of the Holiday. The USPS is also closed, and there will not be mail delivery.

Most banks are closed on President’s Day.

There will be no garbage pickup either. Monday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Tuesday. Tuesday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Wednesday. There will be no bulk collection this week.

  1. aha! That’s why there were no snow plows clearig streets. No one available because of the holiday. In Lakewood, erev holiday and issur holiday are always off. That’s why there is no bulk pickup either.

    Must be nice working for the township. What a pleasant long weekend.

  2. The township’s website only says that monday’s pickup will be delayed it doesn’t say that tuesday’s trash will be delayed can someone please clarify

Looking at these posts bugs me….we all complain about the public works department holidays, but when pesach in near and they work 24 hours straight, sometimes on their holiday we are grateful….my road is a mess too, but for what ever the reason the work wasnt done properly….lets hope for better results this time around and stop complaining…..just my thought
