  1. UNPLUG THE TREE AND PLUG IN THE MENORAH, I DONT SEE A PROBLEM HUH? WE WANT RESPECT FROM OTHERS AND YOU MAKE A COMMENT LIKE THIS? THE GOYIM READ THIS SITE TOO AND I DONT THINK YOU WOULD WANT THEM TO UNPLUG THE MENORAH NOW WOULD YOU? GROW UP.

  2. this is not our way and is not in our mesorah , I would venture to say even take down the menorah . as far as foreign ideals coming here and trying to infultrate our current , no such luck , the people aint gonna allow it . we love all jews just not the krumkreit .

  3. Is the menorah running on township electricity? It may be an issue. The town square should not be for religious displays. It should be a place where homeless and mentally ill people can gather. There they can receive medical care, food, clothing, and listen to anti semitic speeches. The taxpayer should not pay for such displays. We should take satisfaction that our tax money goes to maintain a town square where people can come from all over to express their hatred of the ones that pay for the electricity they are using to make their speeches.

  4. We can’t allow these sort of things to happen in our community! We need our Rabonim to take a very strong stand against this sort of “new-age Religion”, next thing we know they will be convincing our Rebitzins to put of teffilin, and have a Moshiach flag in front of the Yeshiva Chas Vesholom!!

  5. As they say – “Live and let live!”
Did this affect you? No so take a chill.
Let them do what they want. Whoever showed up (Like 4 people) good. It didn’t affect any of you and if not for the scoop you would not have known this took place so take a chill and of course go back to yuor gemoro and mussar and don’t let this “shter” you challila.

  6. Oy vey they are lighting a menorah in public what next ? you are a bunch a whack jobs who cares if they light in public and since when is that not part of our religion? Isnt it about parsumei nissah? Oh i just realized the people in the video look happy thats not part of the holiday either, at least in lakewood. I hope on purim you dont show any signs of public drunkiness its not part of our mesorah either.

  7. There are FIVE people on the Township Committee. Blame all five not just Langert. All he did was openly say what the others are thinking. At least he’s man enough to tell it to you straight.
    Sign me a Langert supporter

  8. If Hadloko Oise Mitzvah ,then you really should not light each one seperately on the ground and then put it up into the menorah . There might be shailos in doing that .

  9. I remember the good ole days , the Weekly Tanya Shiur Thusday nites in Reb Blech’s basement, PACKED to the rafters with Litvaks , thirsting for Chasidus. The unity could have brought the Geulah

  10. Isnt the whole point of Chanukah Pursumi Nisa, and Menorah lighting in Reshus Harabbim is the point, light the menorah, “Mibachutz” towards the public (at your window) (the public outdoor menorah lighting is simply for the sake of Persumi Nisa, making the Inyin practical.- Not for the Mitzvah of Hadlakas Ner Chanukah) at the time when there are still people outside, ” Ad dachlia raglah detarmudaey” -Don’t you know Halacha Don’t you Know Gemara, The Lubavitcher Rebbe certainly does!! Go learn the good stuff, then you will understand!

  11. To all you close-minded, uneducated people that commented on this: First of all, have you ever heard of pirsumei nissa? It’s one of the biggest inyonim of Chanukah! Second of all, you are all trying to act like you know so much Torah and are really serving Hashem – well, all of your Yiddishkeit isn’t worth anything if you can’t have a simple ahavas yisroel and respect for people who are trying to spread G-dliness into the world and bring Moshiach closer! Just because your ego is blocking you from seeing the truth and really doing your Yiddishkeit for Hashem (and not yourselves!!), it doesn’t mean you have to stop others from doing what’s right!! Don’t you want this galus to end, or are you too deep in the darkness to even want to get out?!

  12. Lakewood is still in the Dark Ages when it comes to relating to others who are not as HOLY as them. Those Menorahs, lit up thruout Jersey and the rest of the planet, reignite the flame in countless of real HOLY souls.

  13. I remember speaking to a local about Lakewood’s recent discovery of Jews in Russia and he proudly related of the programs they were involved in. I mentioned to him that this recent discovery was not news to Lubav. They never Left Russia and have been lifting souls for over 200 years

  14. Folks, Reach out to the unafilliated yid next door or someone you know who could use some soul-lifting. Invite them for a Shabbos-meal. Any doubts you may have of reaching out, realize it’s the Nachash whispering in your ear, to further extend this Galus. Not only will you lite up another Jew,you and your family will grow to break away these senseless barriers.DO SOMETHING, END the GALUS
