I don’t understand y we are blaming shadchanim they do so so much to help people, they go out of their way to make things happen without hourly pay etc if they get 100 phone calls a day how can we expect them to answer each call they try their best and they are human with families as well. I don’t know most shadchanim in town but i do know Rabbi Tzodok Katz and he worked tirelessly for my family and still does always going beyond his duty to help us. So I say we give them some credit al though they don’t answer everyone’s calls!!

10. For all those that don’t understand the way shidduchim go, Allow me to explain.
    The shadchan meets a girl the girl sends the shadchan her resume, The Shadchan brainstorms and hopefully thinks of a suitable Boy for this girl. The Shadchan then redts the girl to this boy who often is busy or has many names on ther table. In the best case secnerio the boy or his mother will get back to the shadchan (Somtimes a month or 2 later). If its a no then obviosly there is no need to contact the girl and if its a yes then the girl will be called and the shidduch will proceed from there.
    So people need to understand that a lot has to happen behind the scenes till a girl gets a call and if she doesnt get a call that does not mean the shadchan is not trying there best to help them.
    For the record the average Shadchan is spending many hours daily to help Klal Yisroel. For someone to complain about not getting called at best they are naive.
    (Btw shadchanim put in hours daily and get paid nothing.)

11. I as well,don’t know all shadchamim and it is possible that there are a few who abuse their position. However it is well known that shadchanim like r shloime lewenstein and r tzodek katz go above and beyond the call of Duty for every yid who comes their way.and besides their hishtadlus, the amount they care when they here an older singles plight is amazing. This is something that I know from knowing both of them personally. And although they may not answer every phone call, let’s remember that they don’t get paid unless they make a shiduch and at the same time they have 50% of klal Yisrael banging down their doors .
    So instead of bashing them appreciate them.

12. I am speaking for those of us that fall into a different category- those of us who are divorced. For all those shidduch groups happening, how many shadchanim are willing to look at us? The shidduch crisis has completely taken over the world, but the plight of divorcees is completely under the water, and there are so few shadchanim even willing to look in our direction. They say I am lucky, for I have no children. Yet, the phone calls don’t come. This event is for singles….how about a shidduchim event for divorcees? there are many of us who are normal upstanding and healthy individuals. why not an event for us???

13. i agree 100% with winchys totty it’s unbelievable how much these shadchanim do r shloimy lewy r tzodok etc etc i don’t begin to understand how anyone can have a taino on them????
