MAZEL TOV – PHOTOS: Hundreds of Children Arrive for First Day of School at the New Lakewood Cheder Building in Jackson

Hundreds of Lakewood Cheder children arrived this morning for the first day of school at the new Lakewood Cheder building in Jackson, marking a major milestone for the growing school and the Jackson community.

The new facility is primarily serving children from primary through fifth grade, school officials told TLS.

A significant portion of the students attending the new building are from Jackson, allowing many families to avoid the daily commute into Lakewood for school.

The expansion comes as the Lakewood Cheder continues to experience significant growth. The Lakewood campus currently has approximately 10 parallel classes in each grade, creating a substantial need for additional space.

The new Jackson location is expected to help accommodate that growth while providing hundreds of local children with a school building closer to home.

It’s a new school, not an extension of the Lakewood school specifically. Totally separate hanhalla.

They seem to be sharing the building for now. BMG Princeton also shares space with an elementary school.

It’s not Lakewood Cheder, it’s Jackson Cheder (Cheder Hachodosh d’Jackson)
