At this evening’s Township Committee meeting, Mayor Menashe Miller will be presenting plaques to the various agencies which assisted the Township during the recent Hurricane, TLS has learned. The agencies – which showed tremendous dedication to the town during the storm – include the Lakewood Fire Department, Lakewood EMS, Lakewood First Aid, Hatzolah, Chaveirim and LCSW.
The Township Committee meeting begins at 7:30 PM.
All these organizations definetely deserve this award. This is the least we can do to show them appreciation. But, what about bikur cholim? I personally saw them working along with chaveirim on sunday, monday and the better part of tuesday. This is besides the oem shelter that they set up. Don’t they deserve an award?!?!? (I am not involved in any way in bikur cholim or any other organization in town)

Grow up! The Mayor is doing something very nice he’s expressing appreciation and encouragement to groups. I’m sure there are MANY groups that have also assisted! I’m sure he doesn’t mean to exclude anyone.
Keep up the great work.
Menash said there are other organizations too that helped out.
Not for nothing but just say thanks that is all we expect for doing our job. We do not need any awards for doing what we trained to do. Save the town money. Thank you a Lakewood Firefighter.
It was a very nice presentation. Its heartwarming to see the town governmaent express its apreciation.
