Mayor Albert Akerman is asking residents to keep cars off the roads this weekend to give ample room for the plows to get through and plow efficiently.
In past storms, many roads were only partially plowed because of vehicles parked on both sides of the roads – especially in developments.
Additionally, homeowners are asked to bring in all toys which may be left around the home.
The snow is expected to start coming down heavily in the late afternoon, evening.
Total snow accumulations for Lakewood are in the 4-8 inch range, according to the National Weather Service.

I hope we get 4-8 FEET!!!!!!!!
were are people supposed to park?
you shoud’ve worried about this when you let them build all over town without enough parking spots
Much ado about nothing
In chesterfield we have nothing to worry about- The city doesnt plow (as teh development is unfinished).
We have extra parking for everyone!!
leave your cars at home an walk
in your own driveways
We did just that, but they plowed a narrow one way path for cars today. They could have plowed a wider path since we and our neighbors parked our cars in our landlords driveways.
