Man Used Fork to Stab His Friend, Police Say

crime scene investigationA man used a fork to stab his friend at the High Point Condominium complex yesterday, police say. 

The stabbing victim told police he visiting his friend when a verbal altercation ensued. It then escalated and he was stabbed with a fork.

Officers on scene entered the apartment and located the suspect, 25 year old Rolando Lopez of Lakewood, still inside.

The victim was transported to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus for treatment of minor stab wounds and released.

The suspect, Rolando Lopez was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Bail was set at $22,500 without a 10% option.
