A man died in Lakewood today while watching his dog, officials say.
At about 10:30 AM this morning, the 67-year-old man was watching his dog in the Ocean County Park on Route 88 when he suddenly collapsed, Detective Sergeant Greg Staffordsmith says.
Emergency personnel responded and found the man unresponsive, and immediately began resuscitation efforts.
Witnesses say the patient was shocked multiple times, before being transported to MMCSC, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the incident does not appear suspicious.
