A man was arrested and charged today in connection with the robbery stabbing in Brick yesterday, Sgt. Henry Drew said today. Yesterday evening, members of the Brick Township Police Special Enforcement Team (S.E.T.) arrested Samuel Patriaco Jr. for the robbery which occurred at the K and D Gulf located on Burnt Tavern Road. The investigation continued throughout the night and into the morning hours of September 2nd.
Today, members of the Brick Police Detective Bureau, and the Brick Police Special Emergency Response Team (S.E.R.T.) executed a court authorized search warrant on a residence on Cherrywood Circle which was connected to this investigation.
Based on evidence recovered during the investigation, Patriaco was ultimately charged by Detective Brian Farnkopf with, attempted murder, robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Bail on these charges was set by the Honorable Judge Francis Hodgson at $500,000.00 with no option to post ten percent.
Patriaco was charged by Patrolman Mark Storch with resisting arrest, hindering apprehension, possession of CDS, being under the influence of CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bail on these charges was set by the Honorable Judge Robert Lepore at $40,000.00 with no option to post ten percent.
In addition Patriaco was served with a no bail warrant which was issued by the New Jersey State Parole Board. At the time of this release Patriaco was scheduled to be transported to the Ocean County Jail.
