LPD & LFD Foundations Step Up to the Plate After EMS Member’s Motorcycle Helmet is Stolen

Upon hearing that a Lakewood EMS member’s motorcycle helmet was stolen at an accident scene, members of the Lakewood Police Foundation and Lakewood Fire Foundation jumped in to help.

Just minutes after the story was published on TLS, LPD Foundation President Ben Inzelbuch and LFD Foundation Trustee Harrison Pfeffer immediately contacted TLS and said they want to sponsor a new helmet for her.

”It seems no good deed goes unpunished,” Ben Inzelbuch told TLS. “Here she goes out of her way to help a person in need, and someone decides to take advantage of that – it’s a low thing to do.”

”It’s the least we can do to show our appreciation to these dedicated individuals who give to the Township and others, wherever they may be,” said Pfeffer.

The foundations jointly ordered the new helmet – which included a blue tooth and more – and will be presenting it to the member next week.
