[Reader submitted] Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to do some research into travel in many of the 50 States. As a result I have been able to assist many friends and acquaintances with their vacation plans. Aside from being familiar with most of the nearby sights, I enjoy finding lesser known places of interest together with a nice variety of hotel/resorts and so my suggestions are often very different from the usual destinations the oilam frequents.
