A scammer attempting to scam a local business, got a taste of his own medicine.
“As an accountant for a local business, I get about a dozen emails a month from scammers impersonating employees that request to have their paycheck sent to a different bank account,” the business-owner told TLS. “I usually ignore them, however, it was a quiet day, so I asked them for money instead.”
He added, “I asked a shailah to my Rav if I can keep the money. He wasn’t sure and had to find out. The next day he told me “You can keep the money, but next time ask for more.”
Check out what ensued:
That is sweet
Only 35$ ? you should’ve kept it going and said , sorry the funds didnt come in are u sure you have the right email try it again?
It hard to believe that you were advised this was ok. Retaliation with a scam of your own is fraud and illegal.
