LFD To Hold Fire Prevention Safety Event For Children

This Sunday, October 9, the Lakewood Fire Department will be holding their annual Fire Prevention Safety Fair for children. The event will give children the opportunity to get an up-close look and photo-ops with the fire trucks and equipment, while learning about fire prevention and safety from the firemen present.

The event will take place at the Fire Station on Monmouth Avenue and 1st Street, from the hours of 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.

  1. EIH I for one hope that the new fire chaplain will never be need. If he is it would mean that a firefighter was hurt or worse.

The LFD are very dedicated to there jobs, but we all still have to remember that they are volounteers and have families who want them to come home.

Over Yom Kippur while you are davening and when it say “me ba aish” have the brave members of Lakewood Fire Department in mind that this shall not happen to them.

May we all be zocher to a gmar chasima tova.
