PHOTOS & VIDEO: The Lakewood Fire Department held a training exercise today, which involved all the stations in Lakewood. The drill, which lasted about two hours, simulated the event of a firefighter getting injured and stuck in a fire, requiring other firefighters to enter the ‘burning building’, locate the member and pull him to safety.
The Lakewood Fire Department companies all train individually on the average of once a month, but department-wide drills are held just a few times a year.
Today’s drill, held at the OEM building, was attended by all three Fire Chiefs, Chief Youmans, Todd Stark, and Steve McNamara. TLS.
