PHOTOS of today’s Fire Safety Fair currently taking place at the Fire Station on Monmouth Avenue and 1st Street. Children can get an up-close look and photo-ops with the fire trucks and equipment, as well as receive a fire hat and coloring book to take home, while learning about fire prevention and safety. Also in attendance, was Committeeman and Deputy Mayor Menashe Miller, as well as Committeeman Meir Lichtenstien.
The fair will be ongoing until 2:00 p.m.
My family had a great time. I also learn’t a lot about our fire department. I read all the negatives on this blog and they are so not true.
The lakewood fire department is a all volunteer department except for 1 guy who is on duty all the time. These men and women pick up and run (just like the hatzalah members) to fire just because, not because they get paid.
