Letter: They are there for us. We should be there for them.

Dear readers, In Lakewood we are uniquely blessed with an abundance of talmidei chachamim who are not official rabbonim.

We all use them to drop off questions at their homes, bring them to our houses to help with mezuzah and kitchen issues, and call them and approach them at all hours of the day and night with various halachah questions.

We should remember that most of them receive no compensation for all their time and effort! They are selflessly giving away their precious time to benefit us!

As we prepare our mishloach manos and gifts to distribute this purim, we must keep these talmidei chachamim in mind. A respectable gift with a warm note of appreciation goes a long way.

They are there for us. We should be there for them.

Thank you.
