The following letter was submitted to Lakewood Police Liaison Ben Inzelbuch.
Hi Ben, I just want to share with you what happened over Yom Tov.
I was standing outside of Shul on Yom Tov evening, when an officer (who I later identified as Lieutenant LeRoy Marshall) passed by while patrolling my neighborhood, and asked me if everything is okay. I told him I’m okay, but I actually needed medication from the pharmacy for my wife.
Immediately, Lt. Marshall said “Relax, I gotchyou,” and about a half hour later, he was at my door with my wife’s medication. I was truly impressed. This is our LPD.
“Lt Marshall is a major asset to the police department and to the entire Lakewood community,” said Ben Inzelbuch. “Though always shying away from the public eye, he is always going out of his way – on or off duty – to help anyone he can. He’s a true role model.”
Lt Marshall has always been there for the community going the extra mile along with a reassuring attitude makes Lakewood a great place to live
First of all thank you Ben for always being there for the community behind the scenes and it is your leadership that promotes such behavior from our men in blue and makes them sensitive to our intricate needs kudos Ben and Leory
Having lived in other communities I must say the police department and the community relationship is something that all other surrounding areas should learn from
wow,what a story,im so impressed some people
do theire job AND SOME PEOPLE DO THEIR JOB.
thank you LPD for keeping us safe.and caring abuot the comunity.
May Hashem bless the Lieutenant and his family and our entire Police force with lots and lots of great health.
Leroy Marshall is the trophy of what community policing is. I have met him a few times the amount of knowledge and respect he has for the community truly makes him a great leader for the citizens of Lakewood and a role model to his officers.
May God watch the Lakewood Police Department
