Hi, Thanks for covering the AT&T service problems on the scoop. I filed a complaint with the FCC and I wrote a letter to the office of the president. I referenced the article on The Lakewood Scoop to emphasize how widespread the problem is.

I have been calling since the problem started. Their ICU team got back to me and told me that the network engineers said that the reason why I am having problems is because I need to get a 4g phone. I got home and googled iphone 5s. It is a 4g phone. So I am already using a 4G LTE phone.
So, someone from the office of the president got back to me and said that she asked the supervisor of networks in our area to find out what the problem is and get back to her. She said that maybe my phone needs to be ‘HD voice’ enabled. And maybe I am having the problem because my phone was originally a Verizon phone (I bought a refurbished iphone) and I didn’t buy a phone specifically made for AT&T.
I do not know what she is going to come back to me with. But, if she is going to say it’s my phones fault, it would probably be helpful to know what type of phones everyone else that is having the problem is using.

Having horrible service issues with verizon the past little bit. Call gets disconnected after a minuted has past.

Here’s the most recent update from AT&T: I called them just now and was told that they are currently doing maintenance on a cell tower and that full service should be completed by tomorrow (Oct. 19) at 2pm. So lets hope that’s accurate!
Every day it’s something else. They keep on changing the dates can’t believe anything they say
I have a brand new iPhone X with at&t service. Same problems as everyone else. Custoner service told me yesterday that 3 towers were down and should be restored around Sunday
The phone call issues should be resolved in a day or three if they are doing tower maintenance.
The data and internet issues may be lingering not just for AT&T but for all providers as the internet DNS servers are being updated as we speak. Everyone uses DNS to correctly route traffic for internet and data, that’s just a core program without which it won’t work at all. This update could take weeks to update the whole net. This also means, Wi-Fi calling will have problems as well. It’s the nature of the beast and we have to bite the bullet on this.
I just change over to verizon.
At&t was having issues with service in lakewood albert area for a while and issues still haven’t been resolved after promises … what can we do as a community to get them to fix service today asap please

my wife spoke to AT&T last week and the lady on the phone looked up the map and said “Oh my, there are four towers down! IT will all be up by Oct 22”

I have a samsung galaxy s7 unlocked & has been working fine on AT&T for 2+ yrs. Since last Tues I’ve had telephone, data & text problems! It’s been horrible!!
Oh yeah, & I called AT&T a couple times, each time they say it’ll be back up the day after I call by 4pm….

I have an iPhone X, also experiencing problems with at&t. I have noticed that every time I pass by locust x New Hampshire area I never have service and lose it for a few minutes. This service issue is getting out of hand.. thank you for those who are keeping us updated on the issue

Have iPhone 8plus and horrible At&t service especially the albert area and other parts in lakewood
They have told all of us that the towers will be fixed and stronger then ever weeks ago and still same old bad service! They gotta be held reliable to provide top notch service or else we will be switching to Verizon …
Or what else can we do?
I have a galaxy s7 and my wife and I s9. Both are at&t branded. This has nothing to do with anyone’s phone. I have spent hours on the phone with at&t to no avail. They have a major service problem in our area and have done nothing as of yet to fix it ….. Good luck!
Remember not to complain when they build more cell towers to improve their service!
