DWI
April 6, 2024, at 3 a.m., Officer Richard Uriarte was dispatched to the area of 6th St. for a vehicle stopped in the roadway. The officer approached the car and the driver was found asleep with the ignition turned on. Octavio Lopez-Santiago, 41, from Lakewood, N.J. was arrested for DWI and charged with related offenses.
Officer Anthony Prisco assisted in the investigation.

DWI/ELUDING
April 6, 2024, at midnight, Officer Sean Capper was dispatched to a carless driver on New Hampshire Avenue. Helene Dzielinski, 36, from Pelican Island, N.J. was arrested for DWI and Eluding.

Officers Gregory Cannon, Brian Guzman, Julian Guzman, and Leonardo Shimonovich assisted in the investigation.

SIMPLE ASSAULT
April 7, 2024, at 2 a.m., Officer Leonardo Shimonovich was dispatched to Ocean Avenue in response to a 911 open line call. Upon arriving at the location, the officer found a large party inside the building, where two intoxicated males were arguing. One of the males hit the other in the face, which the officer personally witnessed. As a result, Diego Quiroz-Tapia, 23, from Bricktown, N.J., was taken into custody on charges of Simple Assault and resisting arrest.

Officers Julian Guzman, Anthony D’Angelo, Sean Capper, and Gregory Cannon assisted in the investigation.

SIMPLE ASSAULT
April 7, 2024, at 3 p.m., Officer Connor Woods was patrolling in the Clifton Avenue area when he witnessed a male striking another male in the face. The officer proceeded to investigate the incident. Raul Reyes-Aguilar, 25, from Lakewood N.J. was arrested for Simple Assault. According to Reyes-Aguilar, during the booking process, the other male party struck him in the face. Officer Woods then returned to the scene and viewed video footage revealing the other male striking Reyes-Aguilar. As a result, Eleodoro Perez-Cruz, 40, from Lakewood, New Jersey, was charged with Simple Assault.
