Lakewood Police Street Crimes Detective Sgt. Steve Kelusak Retires after 28 Years of Service [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

Lakewood Police Street Crimes Detective Sgt. Steve Kelusak retired today after 28 years of service.

Kelusak began serving with the LPD as a patrolman in January 1996, and worked his way up to the Detective’s Bureau, and eventually to the Street Crimes unit. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2016.

Sgt. Kelusak also served as the PBA State Delegate for approximately 10 years.

”Steve was loyal and dedicated to the residents of Lakewood,” Chief Meyer told TLS. “He was a cop’s cop. His departure will be a big loss for the department, and there are large shoes to fill.”

A walkout ceremony was held at police headquarters, which was attended by family and friends.
