Question:
Dear Mayor,
I have noticed that there are some streets which have been recently paved and it has been a pleasure to ride on them.
Unfortunately, there are still a LOT of very bumpy streets that need repaving badly. I feel like I’m on a roller coaster when I drive on some of them.
How can we submit names of streets that need to be repaved? I’d like to see them done before the winter when apparently work on this stops.
Thank you for all your help.
Response from Mayor Coles:
Good morning,
We are trying to get to as many roads as possible., I recently had public works do a survey of every township road and grade them from A-F so we can identify the roads that are desperately in need of repaving. We are also in the midst of a multi year road restoration & maintenance program so we can keep the streets in good condition once we have them done. You can always submit names of streets yore are concerned about through this forum
Thanks
Ray

Washington closer to Pine St is like driving in Mars.
I doubt the township’s survey included the PAWNEE & SEMINOLE area. If it did it would’ve been graded FFF and fixed already. It’s like we’re the town’s stepchild over here. I don’t get it.
Oak St between NH and Albert FFF
Oak Street between Albert Ave and New Hampshire
Thinking Jew . When was the last time u drove on Mars????
I believe the roads there have been pretty good for a long time
Sunset road used to be a breeze to drive on, now it’s horrible. Every time I drive there i feel like a boat on waves.
Oak street between New Hampshire and Albert. Is a FFFF you need to drive on the shoulder to prevent all the bumps so you can prevent your car from being damaged
We don’t we address traffic? It seems that the traffic issue is being ignored.
Ridge from New Hampshire to Howell very rough
East County Line from Gem Drive (Emerald Hills)
to Alvarado Ave
I know these are not your responsibility but the township does have some say
****County Roads****
they are doing lots of building on oak, they will keep on opening the street there for pipes and stuff, they shouldn’t pave it until all construction is finished
Miller Road is horrible since they put new sewer and/or water lines in due to new construction over the past month or so. It has created a dangerous situation when driving on the now very bumpy road–especially when driving there at night during a rainstorm. The township needs to fix this as soon as possible.
Lexington Ave from 8th street all the way to County Line is absolutely horrific! Also, Carey street between Clifton & Lexington is terrible!! I too hope these streets can be replaved before the winter sets in.
