Question:
Hi, I was wondering about streets that were on the repaving list for 2018 that were never done. I don’t know about the rest of the list but specifically two streets in my area, Williams St and Buttel Ave. Williams st is one of the busiest streets in this town and is always riddled with potholes and constant patching won’t and do not help. It was on last years list and should have been at the top of it based on how busy it is. Buttel ave is another neighborhood street that one part is very torn up and the rest isn’t very smooth either. Please respond on this situation. Thank you and thank you for your service to the community.

Response from Mayor Coles:
The design work on many of these streets, including Williams, was not completed in time for 2018 paving. They will be on the top of this year’s list. Paving will start again as soon as the weather warms up. Hopefully by April.

Please don’t pave Williams till the building on that street is finished. That would be throwing good money after bad.
Please do pave the street. The building never stops. If you wait it’ll never get paved.
Dear Mr. Mayor: I was wondering when Lexington Ave will be repaved. The water company seems to have completed their work & the surface of the road is absolutely horrific! Besides for the awful potholes, the entire road is so broken up it is in desperate need of repaving. Can you give us an idea when that’s going to happen?…Thank you.
Please don’t pave Williams Street unless yellow divider and white shoulder lines will be painted as well. Cars drive wayyy too close to the curbs…
Oh and also enforce the 25 mph speed limit. At least right now the potholes enforce it…
