The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to [email protected].
Question: Dear Mayor,
It has now been over six months since you have responded to the County Line & Ridge intersection and accompanying sidewalks concerns.
You mentioned that you have been working with the County to get final configurations so that the sidewalks can be installed.
Six months is a fair amount of time for us, local residents, to request a follow up and a realistic time frame for the installation of the sidewalks.
Mr. Mayor- the daily danger of all pedestrians walking that area on County Line still exists and the time for action has really come.
With admiration of your achieved successes in town,
Jack
Response from Mayor Coles: Good morning Jack,
I am also disappointed the area has not been completed yet. The county is still working on a plan to improve that intersection, as well as Joe Parker Rd. They are beginning the intersection work at Brook Rd and working east. I have spoken to them several times about the need for improved safety at County Line and Ridge as well as the ability for us to add sidewalks. I will ask our professionals to get an updated timeline for when we can expect the work.
Thanks
