The $50 pants or $300 suit will be compared to Wal-Mart $5 pants unless you have receipts and counter fight for everything with pictures and a web link. They will ai everything . They will bottom price you on everything. Having adjusters help but its all criminal as your forced to pay the public adjuster to defend you. Having to go to an umpire and alleged independent adjuster are 100% lies. No adjuster representing ultimately the insurance side will be honest as he cant admit to a higher priced item or budget as the insurance company will black list him for ever.
Higher a lawyer is very expensive like 30%

You must get he content value coverage and the value of your actual house increased slowly every year. The insurance companies dont let you easily state a sudden huge jump. If your value listed for you home on your insurance company is low, your in big trouble if something happens.

When i originally insured my home 10 years ago everyone said it was too much. My house has doubled in value. Ultimately you must get top quality insurance companies and enough value to.be able to rebuild..

Unfortunately what the insurance companies want is to.make your life miserable and force you to fold.

I know another person who had a house fire. A few years old.. Had lots of content. It cost them more than 100k extra to move back in out of their own pocket. And that was with an excellent public adjuster.

I have not yet asked for an increase in value and I should.

From what I hear and see myself it can be cheaper to maybe rebuild from scratch than to renovating. A basement is $175-200. A garage 2 door.at least $100. And this is only builders grade building. Nothing fancy. 2 hvac units alone is 24k. Not including new venting and returns.

Ps the American Home Shield is insurance program is a scam. They will never replace your hvac system. Had water leaking over the mother board. Their vendors shows up and demand 5k on the side to write a report that would make it be replacement. Otherwise they would not right a true report.
