Lakewood DPW To Zone 1: Get Your Leaves Ready

If you live in Lakewood’s “Zone 1,” meaning your regular trash and recycling pickup is on Mondays, the Department of Public Works (DPW) urges you to get the fallen leaves outside your home ready promptly.

Zone 1 leaf collection is scheduled for Monday, November 2 through Friday, November 6. Make sure your leaves are ready by early Monday morning at the latest.

How to Prepare Leaves:
Rake leaves to the curb line, similar to where cars are parked. Leave them in loose, open piles (not bagged) with no other material, such as wood, brush or dirt, in the pile. Piles should be at least 10 feet away from storm drains.
