In honor of their opening day today, Lakewood Connection will reward 10 random callers $20 towards the store they were calling at the time. The way it works is, if you call and you’re the lucky caller, you will receive a call later today to inform you of your win, and you will be issued the gift certificate.
Starting today, phase one of Lakewood connection will be active. By calling 732-886-LKWD (5593), you can be connected to all of Lakewood’s businesses.
This first phase will cover all Food related categories (restaurants, takeouts, caterers etc.), Auto related categories (leasing, mechanics, body shops, sales, oil changes etc…), Clothing related categories (women’s clothing, men’s clothing, hat, shoes, glasses etc.), and Pharmacies (drug stores, health stores vitamin stores etc.)
More categories will follow soon.

how will they make money? If they plan on adding advertisements it will lose the whole purpose for the consumer and if they don’t include all establishments that also will defeat the idea.

Great concept.. but tried calling several times and never got through to store. Too many glitches. Perhaps they should test out the system before rolling it out to the public.
