VIDEO: Kosher Village is now the second grocery which has removed the St. Moritz from their shelves following the incident last week in Kiryas Yoel. The owner said on Friday he removed all the remaining bottles on the shelf following the warning from Hatzolah and after viewing the photo of the severely injured toddler.
Hatzolah members tell TLS, year after year they rush children to the hospital after they got hold of the dangerous chemical. Some children have been left with permanent injuries and scars. TLS-CCP.
Reb Kolev and Rabbi Hertzel are the best and care very much about the customers and about Klall Yisroel
Thank you Rabbi Colev Gestetner
Good move. There is more to life than just making every buck you can. I’d like to see the stores who are sooooo makpid on “kashrus” issues, be machmir on sakana too.
thank you! hopefully this will be followed by every store in town.
Kosher V is the best store in town 🙂
they should remove all the soap because that can hurt your eyes if you use it improperly
& what about the amonia & bleach?
it is a dangerous cleaner, but instead of blaming others all parents should be more responsible and watch there children. its easy to blame others but what goes on in your house is on you. sometimes things happen but if you know that something is not safe use the proper precations that no one should get hurt also put dangerous cleansers in a safe place so that your children can’t get them.
I guess that I will be doing my shopping elsewhere. St. Moritz is the best oven cleaner out there and parents should be aware of the danger it can be if it comes into contact with children etc. I keep it on a top shelf with the spout taped closed.
Kv is the best store!!! Of course parents should be careful but the stores could help prevent it too!!! Thank you!!!
My store did even better!!! They took away all Shopping Carts!!!…They were a safety hazard for little fingers that can get trapped in the bars….
My child was burnt by St. Moritz. It is way more harmful than ammonia and bleach and the people commenting here that it isn’t, did not have the personal experience that I did. Please do not take it into your house. Trust me.
hello! how about st moritz makes their bottles much safer and more child proof???? like e.z. off? my housekeeper begs me to buy it. i will have to stock up!! p.s. im sorry to the child it happened to, rachmana letzlan, i truly am.
If this product is so dangerous, STOP buying it!!! It is that simple. Why is it needed that someone has to take it away from you, why can’t you be responsible for your own actions?
What about easy-off? That’s also dangerous. And many other products. There have been warnings for years about being careful with St. Moritz.
thank you reb colev gestetner…kosher village is the best!!!!!!
St Moritz’s ingredients are not known and therefore treating a burn from it is very hard. I do not advocate using Easy Off however the ingredients from it are known to Poison Control and hospitals and it is easier treated. May Hashem watch over everyone and by the way neither of them get rid of chumetz. they just make the oven shine.
The product is not produced in the US and is way more concentrated and therefore more toxic than oven cleaners which are permitted to be sold for home use in the US. The reason it works “so well” is due to its high toxicity. We do know what is in the product-LYE.
I do not have that in my house. I am glad I do not use it, especially
around my kids.

wow that is acid and is used to clean out main sewer drains. If one wants it around use it and then throw away the can.
