PHOTOS: UPDATED: Chaveirim Volunteers have now joined authorities in the search of an elderly man who went missing out of the Fairways community last night, TLS has learned.Police were first notified about the missing 85 year old man shortly before 11 PM, and by 11:30 PM, K9 was called in, followed by a NJ State Police Helicopter at about 1:30 AM. Moments ago, Chaveirim was called in to assist in the search, along with Lakewood EMS and Lakewood First Aid.
There is currently no detailed description of the man, other than the fact that he may have a prior medical history, and was walking with a cane.
UPDATE: The man was located alive by a Chaveirim and LCSW member at about 5:30 AM. He was found sleeping in the woods.
Lakewood First Aid transported the man to KMC for observation.
Lakewood First Aid & LCSW have joined the search.
The 85 year old man has still not been found. Fairways grounds has been combed with no luck. The man has snow white hair and if walking will be hunch back with a cane.
