President Donald Trump announced Friday that he is banning several news outlets from the White House, citing what he described as repeated “FAKE NEWS” coverage of his administration.
Trump said the ban, effective immediately, applies to CNN, MSNOW (formerly MSNBC) and Politico.
Trump accused the outlets of reporting what he called “FICTION and LIES” while covering the president, the Trump administration and the United States.
He also criticized Politico over an $8 million federal government subscription that he said was made under former President Joe Biden, calling the payment “illegal and ridiculous” and alleging that it was an example of corruption.
Trump said other “Fake News Media Outlets” could also face similar action in the future.
