Not to knock the initiative, but which organization is getting the profit from this campaign? And where will this Sefer Tora be kept?
It is a project of Lubavitcher Chasidim from Crown Heights. The Torah is being written by Chabad sofer R. Moshe Klein of Crown Heights.
It seems the profits are for Hatzalah of Crown Heights.
The Torah should kept in the shechunah of the Rebbe, Crown Heights.

Baruch Levine happens to also be a Rebbe and talmud chacham. And even if he wasn’t, he’s sharing an opportunity to be part of a special mitzva. Take it or leave it.
