Israeli Dual Citizens Permitted to Travel with Foreign Passports thru December | Chaim V’Chessed

In the post-Corona era, it has been extremely difficult for Israeli citizens to obtain or renew passports. This is particularly true for Israelis residing abroad who must apply for passports at their local Israeli embassies or consulates. Both in Israel and abroad, the wait time for passport appointments can often be as long as half a year.

As reported by Chaim V’Chessed, Israeli citizens who also hold another citizenship are currently allowed to travel utilizing their foreign passports when entering or leaving Israel. This rule was set to expire on June 30, 2023.

We are now pleased to share that this allowance has now been extended until December 31, 2023. This will enable overseas travel for Israelis with dual citizenship, even if they cannot renew their Israeli passports.
