I became baal teshuva 8 years ago, and spent 3 of those years in yeshiva. I feel all my avodah has led me to this point, daf yomi. Imagine, after 7 and 1/2 years, having gone through all of shas? Chazal say the reward is commensurate to the effort, and I can think of nothing better in this world than to commit to talmud study. For anyone trying this daf yomi cycle, I have already found tremendous resources at http://www.e-daf.com. you can get a shiur on almost any daf in shas.
