The Lakewood Resource and Referral Center (LRRC), in partnership with STEPS and Living Smarter Jewish, invites the public to attend a free Homebuyer Education Event designed to help individuals and families build a strong financial foundation for homeownership.
The event will take place on Tuesday, April 28 at 6:30 PM at Spruce Street Elementary School, 90 Spruce Street, Lakewood, NJ.
Whether planning to purchase a first home or preparing for a future move, attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the homebuying process, available mortgage options, and practical steps to move forward with confidence.
This year’s event will feature a live conversation with Rabbi Eliezer Gewirtzman, Dayan of Coventry Shul, and Eli Langer, from Kosher Money. Together, they will explore the importance of financial responsibility, decision-making, and real-world considerations when preparing to buy a home.
Event Highlights
- Practical strategies for financial readiness
- One-on-one consultations with lenders
- First-time homebuyer mortgage options
- Live Q&A with Housing Coordinator
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with bank representatives to discuss mortgage options and receive preliminary pre-qualifications. LRRC and STEPS housing counselors will also be available to answer questions and provide guidance.
