A new initiative is seeking to connect families willing to open their homes for Shabbos with Minyan Shelanu boys or girls who are in need of a place to stay.
The Minyan Shelanu Home for Shabbos program is building a trusted network of families who can host when the need arises, with no weekly commitment required.
Families interested in participating can fill out a short form and, once approved, will be added to the hosting network. When a need arises, it will be posted to the Shabbos group, allowing families to host whenever it works for them.
Those interested in joining the Shabbos host network can click here.

Wow!!! This is so nice! Thank you so much to whoever took on this idea and is bringing it to fruition! Maybe if there was something like this for singles that are boarding or have a difficult family situation it would be so wonderful for them too! (Yom tov is also very hard time and it would be a huge plus and alleviate so much heartache for those that don’t have a place for the meals)
Do they have this in out of town communities? I don’t live in Lakewood and I would love to sign up to pass on the kindness others did for me when I didn’t have a place.
