As the Coronavirus rapidly spread, Bnos Bais Yaakov High School was shuttered, along with innumerable mosdos throughout the world. Each talmidah was quarantined within the confines of her own home, faced with the challenges of attending “school away from school”.
Finding a quiet corner, trying to concentrate during phone classes, lack of social life and positive school ruach, and balancing home and school responsibilities were just some of the difficulties that learning at home presented.
For the twelfth graders, there was an additional dimension; as they finally reached the culmination of their high school experience, would they be destined to celebrate this milestone in solitude? Their graduation trip was canceled, a proper graduation ceremony seemed unlikely in these circumstances. The current reality was not what they had envisioned as closure for their memorable high school experience, where they developed close friendships with classmates, forged lifelong connections with their teachers, and grew and developed into such fine Bnos Yisroel.
Amid all these struggles, uncertainties and disappointments, the talmidos of Bnos Bais Yaakov rose to the challenge!
A Special Slideshow
The hanhala, teachers, and staff of Bnos Bais Yaakov were deeply moved and extremely proud when they received a slideshow created by their beloved talmidos, expressing appreciation for all the efforts that were invested in their remote learning program.
This beautiful, unique slideshow was arranged by a twelfth grader who chose not to focus on her challenges in this situation and rather focused on how much Bnos Bais Yaakov is doing for her. Of her own accord, she enlisted the help of her fellow talmidos of Bnos Bais Yaakov who jumped on board and submitted photos of themselves attending school at home. These individual photos along with messages of hakaras hatov were put to the background music of a beautiful, uplifting song about accepting ratzon Hashem and were transformed into a heartwarming masterpiece!
It is incredible that these high school girls were able to view this challenging situation from another perspective and were cognizant and appreciative of the tremendous amount of time and effort necessary to make such a learning program successful!
Yet, it is not surprising for a talmidah of Bnos Bais Yaakov to possess such sterling middos and take such positive action. Nor is it surprising for the talmidos to feel such a strong kesher to their mechanchos and display such warm feelings toward Bnos Bais Yaakov, where talmidos are inspired to learn and learn to inspire!

This school is beyond! The students that graduate Bnos Bais Yaakov all have amazing middos and live by the sheifos their teachers have taught them to have! This slideshow is but a small example of the derech eretz and hakaras hatov that the students have for the teachers. I know numerous girls that attend(ed) and I am always so impressed at their knowledge and positivity that go with then wherever they may be. I cannot think of a better school than this for where to send my children when they are up to this stage.
