The Lakewood Airport has added Helicopter rides to Lakewood’s attractions, giving residents the opportunity to enjoy Lakewood from way up high.
“We have been working on several fronts to upgrade the airport and make it more relevant to both our businesses and the residential community”, says Lakewood’s Economic Development Director Steven Reinman who brought the latest attraction to Lakewood. “The addition of airplane and helicopter sightseeing services will, we hope, offer everyone a way to enjoy and appreciate this asset”, Reinman says.
The tour, serviced by Ocean Helicopter, starts at $40 per seat, which includes a trip to the shore and back. Trips to New York are also available, at an additional cost.
The Director of Economic Development hopes the rides will be a bright beginning to other projects at the airport in the near future.
“We also hope it will be a sign of things to come, as we pursue a number of projects in the coming months and years to upgrade the Lakewood airport”, Reinman tells TLS.

I was given a chance when I was in eretz yisroel many years ago to take a 10 min. single engine plane ride over yerushalem (not over the old city). i regret till this day that I did take this offer up. the pictures that I could have gotten….

$40- per seat, how many seats per flight? How much will cost a 1 way ride to NY? It will be great if a rep. From the chopper company could answer some questions thereon TLS, if they would want it to really work out, so people know more about it, thanks.
How long is the flight for? Could u ask to pass ur house etc. Or only specific route/tour ?

Don’t worry Lakewood drivers will not be flying the Helicopters.
The air in Lakewood seems safer to me than the roads.
I can see helicpoter rides from above. But how do you do helicopter rides from below? Is the seat cheaper then $40 or is above more then $40.
That’s cool but helicopters can be dangerous.

A while ago, I won a trip; however couldn’t do it – too scared, wish I did. I gave it away. Oh well…Probably safer than the roads in Lakewood.
