Governor Christie To Run For 2013 Reelection

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has filed documents today to run for reelection, according to reports. Christie is currently serving his first term as the Garden State’s Governor.

Christie, whose ratings following Hurricane Sandy have risen even among Democrats, has been oft-mentioned as a possible presidential candidate to challenge Obama, but Christie shrugged off those rumors once and for all in a press conference several months before the elections saying his job in New Jersey was far from done.

Christie was reportedly also on Romney’s VP pick list.

There is speculation that Newark’s Mayor, Cory Booker, could challenge Christie in the Governor race.

There is also speculation that the Governor may enter the 2016 presidential race. TLS.
