  1. Not bad. From personal experience I can tell you that the ads in The Voice get you great response. That’s where all the “real” businesses are advertising these days. The articles are great, and it’s well read so it brings results. It’s as simple as that.

  2. I like the articles, but why do they need a picture of every single simcha in town? You think the balei simcha want to be plastered in every single home in Lakewood? You think the rabonnim like being hounded by the photographers? Do they need their picture everywhere?

  3. I never saw a town with so many papers. We currently have the Masa Umatan, the Lakewood Weekly, The Shopper, The BP Weekly, The Lakewood Section of the Yated, The Voice. Did I miss anything? However, nothing comes close to The Lakewood Scoop.

  4. It so happens to be that I enjoy the pictures very much. The first thing I turn to every week in The Voice is the pictures. You get to see every thing that went on. I’m sorry if you ended up in one of the pictures with out prepareing, maybe that’s why you don’t like it. I can’t come up with any other reason why you would be upset at it.

  5. The Voice is a phenomenal paper but I can’t understand why they have to print the Coffee Room with all the loshon horah and rechilus. I mean, just leave the babysitters alone, let them make a living in peace. I have to admit that I read it every week, but sometimes I just wonder….

  6. #3 – Don’t complain about something you know nothing about. I personally know that the Rosh Yeshivos have no problem with it. They want The Voice and the media to come down to their events in order to give them the publicity they desperately need. I’m sure if a rosh yeshiva would ask The Voice not to print a picture of them, the request would be honored.
What bothers me the most is when people complain about issues that they alone perceive to be a problem even they have not done a drop of research.
