A Lakewood child is lucky to be alive after two men allegedly picked him up and locked him in a vehicle. A second child is being credited for saving his life, TLS learned.
According to sources, while playing outside his home earlier this week, the 4-year-old was apparently alone for several moments when two men spotted him, picked him up and placed him inside a vehicle and locked the safety locks – trapping the young boy inside.
A second child, approximately the same age, saw the boy in the car and immediately notified the boy’s parent. Luckily, the boy was removed from the sweltering vehicle within minutes.
An immediate search of the area for the suspects turned out with negative results.
“This is why children need to be watched every second,” an LCSW coordinator told TLS.
An investigation is underway.

Why wasn’t this on any of the local news channels or New York stations, I would think a child almost being abducted would be a major news story.
Scary story. But there is no indication at all that it’s a case of parental neglect or that it happened mishelonu.
Maybe it was two people who were trying to punish the parents for leaving their precious child outside alone. They put the child in the car figuring that the parents couldn’t be that stupid to leave their child outside too long. Frum , not frum, not Jewish does it really matter. The child is OK. People got to give Musser. Ignorant people who like to speak or make noise got to say their peace. Maybe their is a lesson here for some. B”H

Locked in a vehicle. Vehicle is still in the area. Where are the guys from that vehicle? Was a license plate number recorded? Something is missing in this story.
Nothing is missing. This story happened in my block. TLS totally misconstrued the story. Our children were playing outside, when 2 black teenagers who often pass by and scare the children passed by. The children headed to their houses and away from the street. These kids picked one 6 year old girl off the scooter she was riding, put the child in her mother’s car, locked the child lock, and ran off. Another 5 year old child who saw what happened, quickly let the child out, and went to tell the parents who called the police.
if these teens often pass by to scare the children, why wasn’t there an adult watching them?

Stop pointing blame on parents. That’s such a ludicrous idea to say they want to punish the parents. The child could have died and that would be called MURDER.These teens committed a serious crime, and there is no excuse for it. They need to find them and press charges!!!
