Video obtained by TLS captured the frightening accident last week on Route 70 in Lakewood.
The vehicle can be seen driving up the barrier and going airborne before landing on its roof. It took out a traffic light along the way.
The driver, said to be in his twenties, needed to be extricated from the vehicle.
(See also earlier surveillance footage.)
According to police, the driver was not wearing a seat belt, and was partially ejected from the vehicle – pinning his arm under the hood.
The driver was transported to JSUMC. His injuries are not life threatening.
Stay off your phone while driving. Unless he had a medical episode happen then this is clearly not paying attention while driving.
Morbid fascination!!
I think to take care of this problum the police should start giving out tickets in front of Yeshiva
