FIXANYPIX.COM: A Week of Gedolim | Ron Benvenisti

This past week I was fortunate to restore some very old photographs of three incredible Gedolim:

Rav Chanoch Leibowitz of the Chofetz Chaim Yeshiva, Z’T’L, (in Queens). This was my own picture that I found all rolled up in a corner of my office. I was blessed to be able to enter his study and take this picture. Not for one millisecond did he take his eyes off his Gemara!

Here is the original:

The next one I was privileged to work on was the previous Lubavitcher Rebbe, Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn. (He was Niftar Z’T’L, on my actual birthday!)

Finally I had the privilege to restore this photo of The Breslover Rebbe, Gedalia Kenig, Z’T’L, whom I got to actually meet before he was niftar in 1980.

Here is the restoration:

Baruch Hashem. I am blessed to work with such Choshuva families and their pictures.

It is quite thrilling to be invited to their homes and see the results hanging on their walls.

It is amazing to see the kinderlach excitingly running into the house to show their friends their Choshuva ancestors who they have never seen, until now.

If you can visit my website at https://www.fixanypix.com and think I can help you, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I do all the work myself by hand, with the love and passion that each and every picture deserves.

Baruch Hashem, I have many references and 5 star Google reviews.

I just want to note that there are many restoration services. Many use AI which may not be able to tell the difference between a dust spot and a diamond. Many use non-USA workers. Many restorations are done for pennies in Bangladesh where if you travel to Israel you are not allowed back in. Huge profits are made this way. I don’t do that.

I am a firm believer in supporting our community. I do everything myself (AI is just a tool that must be used cautiously and is incapable of acting L’Shem Shamayim, which is my approach). After all, robots cannot relate to our helige families and ancestors! Should you decide to print your restored digital pictures, my printer is Shomer Shabbos and Shomrei Mitzvos and tops in the industry and make zero profit from printing.

Thank you for looking.
