The Fire Commissioner elections will be taking place this Saturday. Voting for all districts will take place at the municipal building, 231 3rd Street, between Lexington and Clifton Avenues, between the hours of 2-10 PM.
Five people have filed to run in this year’s Fire Commissioner elections, seeking to fill two 3-year term seats, and one one-year term seat.
Incumbent Juan Ortiz, incumbent Larry Loigman, Brice Alemany and firefighter David Mizrahi are running to fill the seats of Ortiz and Loigman, who are up for reelection. Both are three-year term seats.
The other seat open on the Board is the seat of Mike D’Elia, who resigned from the Board after being elected as Township Committeeman, as earlier reported.
Running for Mike D’Elia’s seat is firefighter Meir Cohen, who would serve for one year – the remainder of D’Elia’s term.
