Ex-Captain Of Fire Rescue Company 2 And Longtime Volunteer Dies

Anthony Burdge, an ex-captain of Lakewood Fire Rescue Company # 2 and a volunteer firefighter for about 40 years, passed away today at the age of 87. Burdge was born in Lakewood, where he lived all his life. Burdge also served in the Army during World War 2. He is survived by his wife, and three children.

A Funeral service will be held Saturday September 24th, 11:00am at D’Elia’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River, NJ.
