Just days after residents were pelted with eggs in a biased attack, a Frum resident was again the target of an egg attack. LCSW received a call from a man who watched as two men on bikes threw eggs at a resident as he made his way down Hudson Street at about 11:00 PM. The suspects missed, and the eggs splattered on the street.

This is not only happening to the Jewish community it is going on all over the place!

The government is to blame for providing an abundace of eggs through WIC and food stamps for these hooligans to waste.

and here lies the problem with a bias statement like that ,first of all the lcsw cannot make arrests or detain people . the Lakewood police do a great job in this town and should be shown more respect than what this statement portrays
Thank you #7…. The LCSW like any neighbor watch program is a wonderful help as a extra set of eyes for the PD…. but patrol cars and mobile units may confuse criminals and put volunteers at risk… The black cars in the middle of the night look like police units…

of course the lkwd pd are responsible for crime and safety in lkwd but potential perps knowing their are volunteers who are out watching definetly make one think twice before commiting a crime and lcsw does deserve our support

I think that the blame should be put squarely on the Education system in this country. Why is it that kids have no clue when Halloween is, and are throwing eggs on random days. Kids today aren’t being taught that eggs are only thrown on October 31.
(When I was young, we always had eggs thrown at us, and we lived with it)

Unless they yelled” You Jewish/Catholic/Irish/Italian (get the idea?) something or other it’s a PRANK not a HATE crime. You walk up to the perpetrator and smash his eggs in his pockets,very uncomfortable.

I know a group of guys who pranked like this years ago who drove around the town and egged people. They did it in Lakewood, Brick, and Howell. It’s not that they were doing it to be biased. Ultimately, they were arrested and it was criminal mischief, not a biased crime.
