The driver who crashed into trees in Lakewood last night has died, officials confirmed to TLS.

As reported on TLS, at around 11 PM, emergency personnel responded to the area of Lanes Mill Road and Joe Parker Road, where a driver veered off the road, and crashed into the trees.

The woman was extricated from her vehicle and transported to JSUMC where she died, officials said. She was reportedly in her seventies.

Authorities are trying to determine if the woman suffered a medical episode prior to crashing.

Lakewood’s Traffic Safety division is investigating the accident.
